Submittal Generator Updates – November 2016
A new version of the Submittal Generator has been released that addresses a number of small issues. Below are the main functionality improvements included in this release:
Lead Time Field Enhancement
The Lead Time fields on the submittal generator grid will now allow for alpha-numeric text instead of just numeric. You can now enter lead times like “2 weeks” or “4 months 3 days” into the field. This information is shown on the Bill of Materials page for the generated submittal as long as the Lead Time field is included.
Changes to the Custom Filters
A highlighted message showing “Custom Filters Active” will now display on the “Find Document” web page to alert the user if filters are set. The filter icons will also be highlighted on the grid to show where filters have been set. The “Clear Filters” functionality will now also only remove filters (it previously also removed groupings).
Collapse All Functionality When Looking for Spec Sheets
The “Find Document” grid now has a “Collapse All” button that will close the groupings as specified on the grid below. This comes in handy if there are a large number of spec sheets displayed and if you have a number of groupings applied.
New “Save and Confirm” Button for Edit Page
The “Edit” page now has a “Save and Confirm” button. This will save changes to the document and also set the “Confirmed?” marker to Yes. The intent is to keep the user from having to click both the “Confirmed?” and “Save” buttons individually when working on a spec sheet.
Added “Project” Launch Icon to the Project Container
The submittal generator now provides a “Project” button to link from the Submittal to the Project Container. You will no longer have to leave the submittal, or access the quote to then backtrack to the project. This link will take you directly to the project. This function mimics the same behavior that occurs when using the Project Container shortcut on a quote.
