Upcoming Agile ClickOnce Deployments due to Certificate Change (Holophane)
Because the signing certificate for our ClickOnce Applications will expire on February 6th, ABL Tech will be deploying new versions of the following applications this week with the updated certificate:
- Wednesday, February 1st
- Price History
- ScratchPad
- Thursday, February 2nd
- Agile Quotes
Due to changes in how Microsoft handles certificates, it is possible some users’ Microsoft Defender SmartScreen will attempt to block the downloads with an option to continue. If this does happen, you will see the screens below. Please click on the “More Info” link and click the “Run anyway” button.
*This will only happen with client installs, not upon opening the application. Once Microsoft’s security scans have seen enough instances of this certificate, this should stop happening for new installs.
