Application Programming Interfaces (APIs) represent the newest, cutting-edge technology for electronic connectivity and allows distributors to connect directly to our systems from their systems, thus eliminating the need for their users to login to ADC or make a phone call to you to get this data. Acuity’s suite of external APIs, which currently includes an Inventory API, has been expanded to include an Order Status API. The Order Status API provides instant access to data found in ADC, such as estimated ship dates, actual shipment dates, carriers and pro numbers. This connectivity enhances our ability to meet distributors where they are on the digital curve and thus increases loyalty and retention.
