Submittal Generator Updates (2/26/25)
Our new editor is live. Thank you for your understanding and patience as we work through a few items. Our new editor is essential and will ensure better performance and mitigate any security concerns. Our previous editor was significantly outdated and no longer supported.
Deployments
We deployed the fix for outdated line status. When a user added a new line that has an outdated status it was returning with a current status. This has been resolved.
We deployed a fix for package preview. Users were unable to preview packages and could generate packages via package download. This has been resolved.
Next Deployment Release Monday 3/3/25
>Highlighting We are working on updates to enhance the highlighting functionality to be easier to use and less sensitive.
>Agile Documents Are Not Being Added To Packages When Agile Project Container documents are added to the submittal grid they are not being added to the package when generating the submittal. As a temporary solution, users can add a new line and upload the document.
>Server Side Error Opening Submittal Packages This is occurring intermittently and does not affect all users. The error message would read: “A server side error has occurred with Submittal Generator Data Services”. As a temporary solution, if a user encounters an error while trying to open a package, another user can open the submittal. After this, the original user should be able to open the package without receiving the error message.
>Bold, Italic, & Underline Functionality Currently users can apply bold, italic, or underline formatting to text within their document. However, upon saving and reopening the document, the formatting reverts. We are actively working on resolving this issue.
Open Items & Status
Import Functionality Currently when new lines are added to quote users will import into the submittal to carry over these lines. The import is duplicating the existing quote lines and importing the new quote lines. As a workaround users can delete the duplicated lines or delete all lines and import from the quote.
Server Side Error Base Spec Sheet This is occurring intermittently and does not affect all base spec sheets. “A server side error has occurred while saving the new line data. Your session may have time out”.
Submittal Library We are working to review the aspects of the Submittal Library and the potential to offer a better user experience. In the meantime, if you do need to access existing documents in the library to clear or associate please see below steps:
-To clear a nomenclature for a document: search the nomenclature, then clear the document for the line. You can clear on the once you open the document in the editor or submittal grid menu.
-To associate a document: add a line to an existing submittal, enter the nomenclature, search and select/upload the document.
