agile Reports Role Changes

In order to provide more flexibility and control over the visibility of the reports in each folder, the roles within the Reports application have been changed to allow you to assign roles giving access at the report folder level.

WHAT WERE THE OLD ROLES AND WHAT ACCESS DID THEY PROVIDE?

Previously there were three roles: Employee, Reconciliation and Principal each providing the access indicated below:

Employee Role                             Reconciliation Role                          Principal Role

2_9_11_1 2_9_11_2            2_9_11_3             2_9_11_3 2_9_11_5

WHAT ARE THE NEW ROLES AND WHAT ACCESS DO THEY PROVIDE?

There are now five roles:  Project/Quote, Order, Sales, Compensation and Principal each providing access to the  corresponding reports folder as indicated below:

Project/Quote Role          Order Role                   Sales Role

2_9_11_6             2_9_11_2              2_9_11_8

Compensation Role                      Principal Role

2_9_11_11                2_9_11_5 2_9_11_11

WHAT ACTION DO YOU NEED TO TAKE?

Since the employee role no longer exists, those previously with that role must be granted a new role(s ) corresponding to the specific folders to which they need access.

The Reconciliation role is being replaced by the Compensation role. Users previously with the Reconciliation role have been switched over to the Compensation role, giving them access to the Compensation folder. No action is required.

No change has been made to the Principal role. It continues to provide access to both the Compensation and Principal Folders however, because some of the Sales reports have been moved to the Sales Folder, you must be granted a new role to obtain visibility of the Sales folder.

WHAT ELSE IS NEW WITH REPORTING?

The names of some of the reports have changed to be more descriptive and some new reports were added.  Included below is a list of these changes along with the folder location of each changed/new report:
