Order Search Added to Stock Swap Returns

Stock Swap Return entry has been taken to a whole new level!  In the fall, a new dedicated field was added to reference the original order on which items being returned, were purchased.  This allowed us to give credit to the customer for what they actually paid and allowed the system to keep track of quantities returned.  We recognize that identifying orders containing specific products is difficult, so a new “embedded search” capability has been added to stock swap returns.  If the original order on which an item was purchased is not known, a search can be launched to find all orders that shipped in the last 12 months, containing the item with an available quantity to be returned.  It’s simple….on a stock swap return: 

• Enter the item
• Enter they quantity to return
• Click the search icon

All orders that have been shipped in the last 12 months, that contain the item with an available quantity to be returned. will be displayed. 

Select the order(s) you want to return against and click

The information will be added to the stock swap return!

Continue adding items to the return and submit as usual!

Good to know:

1. If the order you select has a quantity less than the quantity to be returned, you can continue to select orders until you reach the quantity to be returned or you can choose to add the reduced quantity to the return.
2. If the order(s) you select equal a quantity greater then the quantity to be returned, the full quantity from each order (in sequence of selection) will be used with the balance from the last selection.
3. If an item on order does not have an available quantity to be returned, it will not be returned in the search results.
