THE DASHBOARD

Don’t like the dashboard layout?

  • Layouts have received a makeover. Now, you can customize which columns appear on the dashboard and the order of those columns. We did away with the drag and drop method and replaced it with a more efficient and user friendly method of setting up layouts. With this new method, you manage the columns using the Create/Manage Layout feature under Layout.

  • The columns in the ‘Selected Columns’ list will display in the dashboard. Use the 6_25_2013_1_small ( right) and 6_25_2013_2_small (left) arrows to move columns from ‘Available Columns’ to ‘Selected Columns’ and vice versa. To sort the columns in the ‘Selected Columns’ list, use the 6_25_2013_3_small and 6_25_2013_4_small buttons. The double arrow buttons 6_25_2013_6_small 6_25_2013_5_small move all the columns from one side to the other. Click the save button when finished to save the layout preferences.

  • Moving along with this enhancement, we now allow you to automatically show distributors, architects, electrical contractors, engineers, and lighting designers on the dashboard. In other words, you will no longer have to select ‘Display on Dashboard’ from the Project Contacts tab to display these. In addition, if you have multiple companies for a given customer type associated to a project, you will see ‘multiple’ in the associated column on your dashboard.  Hover over and you will see the customer names. Once you mark a specific customer as ‘Won Job’ you will only see that customer in the column on your dashboard. This feature is controlled through the layouts functionality. All you need to do is move these customers to the dashboard by selecting them from the ‘Available Columns’ list from the Manage Layout page.

SEARCHING

Looking for a project and want to find it quickly?  Check out the new searching enhancements:9_13_11_4

  • You now have the ability to search from the dashboard. This search feature allows you to search for a project by the project number, job name, or associated employee. The fuzzy search is located next to the search button on the dashboard. If you need a refresher on the criteria you can search for, simply hover over the search box.

  • 9_13_11_5The Project Search feature has also been enhanced. Now, the Company Type and Name fields are multi-select drop downs. You can select all or multiple entities. Your selections in the Company Type drop down will determine the records that display in the Name drop down.
