agile Contractor Now Available on the Desktop/Laptop and other Mobile Devices!
Have you been waiting for agile Contractor to become available on devices other than the iPhone and iPad? We are pleased to announce that we have expanded the offering of agile Contractor across platforms.
We now have two offerings of agile Contractor! In addition to the iPad/iPhone version, we are excited to make available the new browser based version.
WHAT IS agile CONTRACTOR?
Acuity Brands agile Contractor is an application made available to electrical contractors by invitation from authorized Acuity Brands Lighting agents. agile Contractor provides the ability to quickly search for orders, check shipment status, tag orders as favorites, add searchable keywords to an order, view product specification sheets, packing slips, and receive notifications when a change takes place with an order. Email questions or documents right from agile Contractor using a mobile device or laptop/desktop.
This new offering expands these capabilities to any contractor you wish to invite who meets the minimum requirements.

WHAT ARE THE MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS FOR THE CONTRACTOR?
- iPad/iPhone Version: Contractors using an iPad/iPhone can use either version; however, the optimal user experience will be with the version specifically designed for those devices. This version is downloadable from the Apple App Store and requires an Apple iTunes Account and IOS 5.0.1 or higher on the user’s device.
- Browser Based Version: Contractors who wish to run the application on a desktop/laptop or other mobile devices, must use the browser based version via the URL: http://agilecontractor.flywheelsites.com. One of the following browser versions must be used and can be downloaded from the links indicated.
- Google Chrome Version 16
- Internet Explorer 9
- Mozilla Firefox Version 11.0
- Safari Version 5.1.2

I was just wondering if this app has the ability to be able to if an order comes in and something is damaged on this order the contractor can pull his order up by job name and report this without having to call the distributor up and then the distributor calling the rep. I know from one of my distributors that one of our competitors have this app and the contractors really like it and would be a good tool for me for selling Lithonia to contractors. Please let me know all the abilities that are app can do so I can push this on my customers.

Unfortunately, agile Contractor does not provide the freight claims capability that The Acuity Distributor Center provides. Basically the functionality provided in agile Contractor is to check the shipment status of orders so that a contractor can plan for arrival of material and installation. They can track shipments, view packing slips and view product spec sheets for items on orders. Additionally they will receive pro-active notifications as shipments occur or ship promise dates change on orders. Just give me a call if you would like to be set up to see how the app works. There is a desktop version and mobile version as well.
