Customer Briefing Book Now Available!

We’ve deployed another report: the Customer Briefing Book (CBB).  This report is located in the Reports Executive Folder and available to anyone who has access to that folder.

The CBB starts with a summary page that highlights the top and bottom overall customers, top stock customers, and the largest contributors to agency commissions.

The detail reports in the CBB have a customer focus and show:

  • Order trend by end use – see job and stock by customer as well as the stock trend over 2 different time frames; understand the job/ stock balance of each customer
  • Orders by DSP order size – see order dollars by customer for 4 different order size buckets; identify customers with greater profit potential
  • Unique item count for stock orders – see how many unique stock CI codes each customer is ordering; understand the ‘health’ of the stock business
  • Commissions by end use for entered orders – see each customers impact on commissions earned and the profitability of each customer
  • Customer contribution to agency commissions

New term: The CBB uses the term ‘points’. Points is used when comparing percentages and indicates the difference between two percentages. For example, if last year’s overall commission percent was 10% and this years over commission percent is 12% that is a gain of 2 points.
